Snake!

We found this little guy in the bushes outside our dorm yesterday!

I was really impressed by its ability to move straight across open gaps...

We also saw a fer-de-lance (Bothrops asper), a highly venomous pit viper, on the deck of the lab last night! A strong reminder to carry and use our headlamps.
